David is an environment and development specialist with 10 years experience in the consulting and non-for-profit sectors. He has worked for 8 years in environmental consulting for a range of private sector clients providing solutions to complex environmental and ecological issues. He has broad technical knowledge of the biophysical sciences and how this interacts with society and development projects. He has proven experience in client and regulatory management and is a certified project manager, integrating financial and contract management. More recently David has been involved in a large USAID-funded Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience project in Thailand and has conducted A Social Impact Assessment for communities affected by a gold mine in Mali, West Africa. Currently, he is conducting environmental assessments and capacity building in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Caledonia and Guam. David holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science, a Master of Environment, majoring in Development Studies, and has recently commended a Graduate Certificate in Climate Change Adaptation. David also runs his own Permaculture business in Melbourne and is an accredited Permaculture Designer.
